Building a Digitally Connected MRO Facility

Strategic partnership with ICC Networking to deliver advanced digital infrastructure for the Accra MRO facility

2024 — Technology partnership announced

Aerojet Aviation is pleased to announce a strategic technology partnership with ICC Networking, a leading provider of advanced networking, communications, and digital infrastructure solutions. This collaboration will ensure that the Accra MRO facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology infrastructure from day one of operations.

"In today's aviation maintenance environment, digital infrastructure is as critical as the physical tooling. Our partnership with ICC Networking ensures that data flows seamlessly across every workstation, every hangar bay, and every back-office system — enabling the operational efficiency and precision that modern MRO services demand."

— Aerojet Aviation Project Lead

Scope of Partnership

Under the terms of the agreement, ICC Networking will provide and implement:

  • High-performance local area networks spanning the entire MRO facility campus, enabling real-time data exchange between maintenance teams, engineering support, and supply chain logistics
  • Secure wireless communications systems for mobile maintenance crews operating across hangar bays, ramp areas, and back shops
  • Integrated digital platforms connecting inventory management, work order systems, and customer portals into a unified operational dashboard
  • Cybersecurity infrastructure protecting sensitive technical data, customer information, and regulatory compliance records
  • Unified communications systems including VoIP, video conferencing, and emergency notification capabilities for seamless operational coordination

Driving Operational Excellence

The partnership reflects Aerojet Aviation's commitment to world-class operational standards. By incorporating advanced digital solutions at the design stage, the Accra MRO facility will avoid the costly retrofitting that older facilities must undertake to modernise their technology infrastructure.

Key operational benefits include real-time parts tracking and automated inventory replenishment, digital work cards replacing paper-based maintenance processes, remote engineering support capabilities, predictive maintenance analytics, and secure customer access to project status dashboards.

A Foundation for Growth

For ICC Networking, the partnership represents an opportunity to demonstrate its capabilities in a landmark infrastructure project. For Aerojet Aviation, it provides access to proven enterprise technology solutions and implementation expertise. Both organisations have expressed their commitment to a long-term collaboration that will evolve as the facility's operational needs grow.
